Educational Attainment in America: How Does Colorado Compare?

Net Admin • Apr 06, 2017

Curious where the most educated (and least) reside in Colorado? This interactive map illustrates where people with the top five categories of education live. Most people fall into one of these categories: Graduate Degree, Bachelor’s Degree, Some College, High School or Less Than High School.

One dot is equal to approximately fifty people, age twenty five or older.

Blue dot= Graduate Degree

Green dot = Bachelor Degree

Yellow dot = Some college

Orange dot = High School

Red dot = Less than high school

Downtown Denver is populated mostly with those who have attained either a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree while just east of I25, the majority of the population has less than a high school education.

Curious about your city? Visit the live, interactive map here.

When choosing where to buy a new home, many parents factor in the quality of the school district of their potential new home. As reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, those aged 25 and older with a bachelor’s degree earned 68% more than those with only a high school diploma.

This post is intended for informational use only and does not depict any opinions on the matter of education from Popish Mortgage Group. We make no inferences or claims on the correlation between higher education and real estate.

In any case, we found the educational attainment map very interesting and wanted share. Let us know your thoughts! We’d love to hear from you!
